Peter, an Apostle of Jesus Christ
Bible Reading:
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To God’s elect, strangers in the world, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
1 Peter 1:1-2
Scripture Reflections to Consider:
Jesus was never wrong. He is sinless. We are to emulate him in everything. He never had a word, deed or thought that was sinful.
Peter is rebuked by Jesus more than any other disciple, he's also praised by Jesus more than any other disciple. Peter is eager and ready to act.
We should have a balance of delivering the love of God, but also correction. And our correction should start with ourselves.
Our identity is in Jesus Christ. Do you know Jesus? If you do, how are you living your life to advance the Kingdom of God? To produce fruit for Jesus? To build up treasures in Heaven?
There will be no sects in Heaven. There will be no denominations in Heaven.
God's elect are those whom God has chosen to become children of God, who have been chosen for salvation.
